Welcome to “Through Our Eyes” – a thought-provoking monthly panel series that brings together accomplished autistic professionals across diverse human services fields. Join us on August 21st from 7pm to 9pm EST for our upcoming panel titled “Through Our Ours Panel: Creating Safe Spaces for Autistics to Unmask.”
In this insightful session, we delve into the concept of “autistic masking” – a phenomenon where individuals camouflage their true selves to fit societal norms. Our panelists will explore why masking varies among individuals and shed light on how prevailing systems, norms, and interventions can inadvertently contribute to increased masking.
By attending, you’ll gain the ability to:
- Identify Autistic Masking: Understand the intricacies of autistic masking and its differing degrees among individuals.
