Presenter Bio

Vanessa del Aguila Vargas graduated in psychology based in Lima Perú. ACT therapist from clinical behavior analysis perspective. Vanessa is affiliate researcher with the Louisiana Contextual Science Research Group. Her research interests lie in Body Image and in the development of talent in vulnerable populations. Vanessa has been invited to participate in research related to body image groups of the section “practical innovations” of the JCBS led by Dr. Emily Sandoz, who is also her clinical supervisor. Vanessa has facilitated several groups on anxiety reduction, mindfulness, compassion and Body Image. She has also developed workshops related to domestic violence from the perspective of the CBS for adolescent women, mothers, victims of violence who live in extreme poverty in her country. Vanessa has collaborated in the book “FACT de grupos. Integrando ACT y FAP desde grupos”.
